Michigan Reads information

" I was asked to get the information below out to booksellers throughout Michigan, so here's the information, verbatim from the note I was given, so that bookstores can be ready for the requests for this title:

"We will be putting out information about the "launch" of Michigan Reads at the East Lansing Folk Festival soon and a major press release will go out most likely the first week of school. Here is the information we will be sharing on the listservs soon:

The Library of Michigan will announce the annual Michigan Reads! One State, One Children's Book Program at the East Lansing Folk Festival on Saturday, August 14th at the main stage at 3:15 pm. Join State Librarian Nancy Robertson as she introduces the 2010 Michigan Reads! book and author. The author will then do a presentation including a book reading and signing. Michigan Reads! is a statewide program highlighting the importance of early childhood literacy by focusing on a picture book by a Michigan author.
